Job Description
Summary: BRE Hotels & Resorts is Blackstone’s U.S. hospitality platform focused on luxury hotels. The FP&A Intern supports financial planning and analysis activities, providing hands-on experience in analyzing revenue, labor, and operating costs while assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with property‑level and consolidated budgeting and forecasting
- Support analysis of key hospitality metrics including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, GOP, and flow‑through
- Prepare variance analysis vs. budget, forecast, and prior year
- Analyze departmental performance (Rooms, F&B, Sales & Marketing, Labor, G&A)
- Help prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for operations and leadership
- Support labor cost analysis, productivity metrics, and staffing models
- Maintain and update financial models and Excel schedules
- Partner with property accounting and operations teams to validate data
- Conduct ad hoc financial and operational analysis related to pricing, promotions, and cost controls
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic models)
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work in a deadline‑driven environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework or experience in hospitality, hotels, or restaurant operations
- Familiarity with hotel financial statements and department reporting
- Exposure to hospitality systems such as PMS or POS data (e.g., Opera, Micros)
- Experience with forecasting, budgeting, or financial modeling
- Basic understanding of labor management and revenue management principles
