Job Summary:
The Retail Operations Coach at BP Oil UK Ltd is responsible for driving operational excellence and fostering a customer-centric culture across our retail network. This role involves coaching and developing site teams to enhance performance, improve customer experience, and optimize retail operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement and coach Agility core practices to improve operational efficiency and responsiveness at retail sites.
- Analyze retail performance data, utilizing Analytical Thinking and Data visualization and interpretation skills to identify trends, areas for improvement, and best practices.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance Commercial Acumen within site teams, focusing on sales growth and profitability.
- Facilitate effective Communication channels between retail sites, regional management, and head office.
- Champion Customer centric thinking throughout all retail operations, ensuring a superior customer experience.
- Leverage Customer data knowledge to personalize customer interactions and drive loyalty initiatives.
- Promote and embed Digital Collaboration tools and practices to streamline communication and operational processes.
- Apply Industry knowledge and advocacy to keep retail sites informed of market trends and competitive landscapes.
- Lead Negotiation planning and preparation for supplier agreements and local partnerships.
- Drive Operational Excellence initiatives, ensuring compliance with BP standards and best practices.
- Oversee day-to-day Operations Management at designated retail sites, providing guidance and support.
- Cultivate strong Partner relationship management with franchisees and third-party vendors.
- Contribute to Retail territory development by identifying growth opportunities and supporting new site openings.
- Design and deliver effective Retail training skills programs for site managers and staff.
Job Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail operations management or a similar coaching role.
- Demonstrated ability to apply Agility core practices in a dynamic retail environment.
- Strong Analytical Thinking and data interpretation skills, including proficiency in Data visualization.
- Excellent Commercial Acumen with a track record of driving sales and profitability.
- Exceptional Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Deep understanding of Customer centric thinking and customer data utilization.
- Proficiency in Digital Collaboration tools and platforms.
- Extensive Industry knowledge and advocacy within the retail sector, particularly in fuel or convenience retail.
- Strong Negotiation planning and preparation abilities.
- A commitment to Operational Excellence and continuous improvement.
- Solid understanding of Operations Management principles.
- Experience in Partner relationship management.
- Knowledge of Retail territory development strategies.
- Proven Retail training skills and experience in delivering effective coaching programs.
