Job Description
Summary: Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula (BGCP) is dedicated to empowering youth in the community with equitable access to opportunities. The High School Program Leader is responsible for supporting classroom instructors, managing program spaces, and guiding students in building academic and life skills through various activities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage various program spaces with approximately 20 students per 1 staff
- Provide academic mentoring and homework assistance
- Lead students through guided enrichment and/or community building activities
- Build and adapt lesson plans for delivering enrichment classes and clubs (art, cooking, STEM, fitness, etc.)
- Conduct life skills and team-building activities
- Communicate with parents/guardians, school staff, and BGCP leadership
- Maintain a positive, safe, productive work environment
- Participate in supporting special events and field trips
- Attend training and professional development opportunities
- Perform additional relevant duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Commitment to BGCP's mission and vision and working with 9-12th grade youth
- Familiarity working with students who attend Title 1 schools
- Experience building relationships with diverse youth communities and constituents
- Ability to motivate through positive reinforcement
- Strong communication skills
- Flexible in navigating a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- one year of experience working with 9-12th grade youth
- Spanish fluency is a plus

Benefits: BGCP offers salary contributions to the 401(k) plan, Part-time employees accrue sick time at a rate of 1 hour for every 20 hours worked, and may use up to 40 hours per year
