Job Description
Summary: BorgWarner is a global product leader in delivering innovative and sustainable mobility solutions for the vehicle market. The Web Applications/Communications Intern will provide support and application development in the area of Intranet applications, working closely with internal teams and occasionally with external teams to bridge the gap between design, content, and technology.
Responsibilities:
- Overall project management of projects within his / her area of responsibility including implementation and testing of all new functionality / features
- Internal communications, promoting the accomplishments/notifications of the department in the form of newsletters, internal social media platforms, and documentation
- Design, develop, debug, produce, refine, test, deploy, maintain, and document web-based solutions using customized as well as out-of-the-box functionality, including web parts and InfoPath forms and code
- Design solutions that accurately reflect requirements and provide innovative solutions to customer (user) needs within defined time and cost constraints
- Act as a technical resource to users, customers, and other team members
- Provide production support and maintain existing systems by researching and troubleshooting any user-related problems
- Keep customers informed of progress and work to quickly and efficiently bring user issues to resolution
- Responsible for providing functional and technical specifications, where applicable, for all development and work with development team members to successfully deliver development objects
- Create and maintain documentation necessary to ensure successful implementation and support of the web environment
- Maintenance of the Corporate Internet site(s)
- Assist in support of various Intranet applications

Required Qualifications:
- Working towards Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Communications, MIS, or other IT-related degree
- Demonstrated experience in Communications
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work under tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities
- Results-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability and desire to solve complex software problems

Preferred Qualifications:
- Web Application development experience
- Including HTML, C#, CSS, XSL/XML (Java, JavaScript / React, SQL, and jQuery a plus)
- Communication tools for newsletters and/or presentations for documentation
- Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint / Power Platform experience a plus)
