Freelance Wine Tour Guide — Bordeaux Wine Pilgrim

Bordeaux Wine Pilgrim creates premium, personalized wine experiences across Bordeaux and its wine regions. Our spirit of wine pilgrimage began when our founder discovered wine while walking the Saint James Way. Today, that sense of discovery shapes tours centred on storytelling, human connection and the people behind Bordeaux’s wines.

We’re looking for a warm, knowledgeable freelance guide to bring the region’s vineyards, wines and stories to life for international guests. We have a few dates available this October, with further opportunities from next season onward. You’re free to accept tours that suit your availability and continue working with your own clients and other businesses.

The tours

Depending on your experience and interests, you could guide private wine tours, premium e-bike tours in Saint-Émilion, or visits to the Médoc and Sauternes. Some itineraries span several days. We aim to make every experience personal and welcoming, whether guests are new to Bordeaux wine or already know the region well.

Who we’re looking for

• Fluent in English; French and other languages are a plus
• Confident and engaging with private guests and small groups
• Knowledgeable about Bordeaux wines and curious about the region’s people and history
• Reliable, attentive to detail and able to adapt to guests’ interests
• Based in or near Bordeaux
• Holder of a valid driver’s licence
• Registered as an auto-entrepreneur or otherwise able to invoice as a freelancer

Experience guiding wine tours is welcome. Familiarity with e-bike tours or multi-day itineraries is a plus.

Working together

This is a freelance collaboration. Tours are offered according to guest bookings and your availability. You set your own freelance rates, which we’ll agree with you for each assignment in advance. We’ll share the itinerary and practical details before each tour.
