Job Description
Summary: Booz Allen Hamilton is a leading consulting firm, and they are seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join their team. The role involves developing software and systems from vision to production, while also helping clients tackle complex challenges using the latest technologies and architectural approaches.
Responsibilities:
- Resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment
- Use passion to learn new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements
- Help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies
- Ensure the solution developed considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements
Required Qualifications:
- Experience using version control software such as Gitlab or Github
- Experience building applications in Java, C++, and or Java Script
- Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team
- Ability to work onsite
- Ability to communicate with others effectively
- Ability to create technical documentation
- Ability to learn skills outside of software development
- Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering by Summer 2028
- U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with or in the DOW
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of Model and Simulation technologies
