Job Description
Summary: The Boeing Company is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Structural Test Engineer to join their Test & Evaluation team in Tukwila, WA. This engineer will develop test plans and procedures, design test hardware, and conduct structural tests to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans, procedures, and test equipment/software to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements
- Design, develop, and integrate test systems to support testing activities
- Create test hardware to meet comprehensive test requirements across various testing scenarios
- Review and validate test data, ensuring accuracy and quality prior to delivery to customers
- Prepare and publish detailed test reports that summarize findings
- Research test technologies that enhance testing efficiency and capability
- Manage multiple projects while interfacing with project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement effective test engineering solutions
- Exhibit self-motivation and a sense of urgency, taking ownership of projects to drive successful outcomes
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 1+ year of experience in structural design, analysis, and/or testing
- Experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, or a similar CAD program
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level 4: 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Have or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
- Experience in project management
- Experience with Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA)
- Experience working a dynamic, multidisciplinary organization
- Experience in pneumatic design, maintenance, and repair
