Summary: The Boeing Company is seeking a Software Engineer at the Associate or Experienced level to support their Boeing Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovations team. This role involves developing next generation generative AI, perception and prediction solutions for aerospace applications, enhancing the quality and efficiency of aircraft product lifecycle processes. Responsibilities: - Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity derived from the aircraft product lifecycle - Apply the latest machine learning and artificial intelligence technology from across industries, academia, and government - Build, train and productionize cutting-edge ML models - Develop data engineering pipelines for large aerospace data sets - Implement software development best practices to enable product deployment Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree - 1+ years of experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada - 1+ years of experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies, including the ability to integrate AI-driven insights into data architecture and analytics processes - Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance Preferred Qualifications: - 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience - Level 2 - Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 2+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of directly related work experience OR 10+ years of related, relevant experience - Level 3 - Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience OR 13+ years of related, relevant experience - Experience with performing verification and validation for AI and machine learning algorithms - Experience with software development best practices - Strong technical skills and effective written and verbal communication skills - Desire to collaborate and innovate in an Agile software development environment - Experience deploying Natural Language Processing and RAG-based applications to production or commercial environments Required Skills: C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Architecture, Data Analytics, Verification, Validation of AI, ML algorithms, Software Development Best Practices, Natural Language Processing, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Effective written, Innovation Benefits: Health insurance, Flexible spending accounts, Health savings accounts, Retirement savings plans, Life and disability insurance programs, Programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work
