Job Description
Summary: The Boeing Company is seeking a Simulation Integration Engineer to join our team within the Boeing Test & Evaluation in Long Beach, CA. This role involves developing, documenting, and maintaining hardware and simulation software, as well as performing system tests to verify operational and functional requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Support system integration, test, and debugging for simulation systems leveraging computer engineering, electrical engineering, and systems understanding
- Works hands on in a lab environment to develop solutions that support customer testing and troubleshooting needs
- Assists in coordinating and communicating with internal and external customers
- Supports development of lab test readiness
- Participates in evaluation of test performance data. Reviews test data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer
- Prepares test documentation for review
- Conduct design and test reviews with customers and stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Experience with C/C++ coding or java/python script development
- Experience in software development and configuration management (CM) tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 2: 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Hands-on experience in a lab environment, performing software and hardware integration
- Experience developing, performing, and improving software and/or hardware test procedures
- Master's degree in systems, simulation, software engineering, or computer engineering
