Job Description
Summary: The Boeing Company is committed to innovation and collaboration in making the world a better place. They are seeking Robotics and Controls Engineers for their Advanced Manufacturing Technology team in Auburn, Washington, to support multiple automation projects and shape the future of robotics research and development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, interfaces and designs for robotic cells, controls systems, electrical cabinets and automated hardware systems
- Support the design, build and commissioning of unique end-effectors for automated manufacturing processes
- Perform engineering activities including development, integration and testing of automated hardware systems and/or software
- Influence, innovate and continuously improve automated engineering processes as well as the quality, safety and reliability of our products and services
- Collaborate proactively with customers, stakeholders, and peers to understand operational and performance requirements
- Support agile project management, project estimation and planning
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn and work with new technologies
- Cultivate a positive team culture
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Experience in automation and robotic controls engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience/Exposure to Power Distribution
- Experience/Exposure to Industrial Sensors
- Experience/Exposure to Industrial Motors
- Experience/Exposure to Industrial Drive Trains
- Experience/Exposure to Industrial Robot Programming
- Experience/Exposure to PLC programming
- Experience/Exposure to NC programming
- Experience and Interest in Electrical Cabinet Design
