Summary: The Boeing Company is seeking a Quality Engineer (Associate or Mid-level) to join their team in Huntsville, AL. The role involves ensuring compliance with quality management systems and contractual requirements through various quality assessments and analyses. Responsibilities: - Research contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation - Develop sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements - Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities - Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs - Perform data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness - Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances - Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions - Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved - Works under general supervision - Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation - Provides Quality interpretation of requirements - Develop quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements - Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities - Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs - Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances - Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions - Recommend corrective actions to address non-conformances - Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved - Works under general direction Required Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science - 1+ year of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) - 1+ year of experience with quality Inspection and/or auditing - 1+ year of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods - 1+ year of experience working with Non-conformance (NCR) processes Preferred Qualifications: - 1+ year experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment - 1+ years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation Required Skills: Quality Management Systems, Root Cause Analysis, Non-conformance Processes Important Skills: Statistical Analysis, Aerospace Experience Nice-to-Have Skills: Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Quality Inspection, Data Collection Benefits: Health insurance, Flexible spending accounts, Health savings accounts, Retirement savings plans, Life and disability insurance programs, Programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work
