Job Description
Summary: The Boeing Company is seeking a dedicated Occupational Health and Safety Specialist (Associate) to join their Environmental Health and Safety team within the Boeing Commercial Airplanes division. This role is critical in ensuring the health and safety of the workforce while promoting environmental stewardship across the 787 operations, involving the development and implementation of EHS programs and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the planning, implementation and assessment of occupational health and safety programs and processes
- Drafts health and safety programs that provide consistent approaches to risk reduction and compliance
- Investigates safety and health incidents and complaints
- Collect, analyze, and present inputs to enablers to improve Serious Injuries and exposures to Serious Injuries
- Collaborate with peers and other essential teams across the 787 program and EHS
- Support stakeholder adherence to company and regulatory safety and health requirements
- Knowledge of emerging issues, regulations and legislation related to company operations
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience performing Occupational Safety duties in an industrial environment
- 1+ years of experience working in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
- 1+ years of experience performing health and safety risk assessments, developing and managing safety programs, and performing audits
- Experience developing and implementing process improvements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Experience with addressing occupational health and safety hazards related to aircraft flight and ground operations or manufacturing process
- Experience with workplace safety and Industrial Hygiene
- Experience in working with environmental team
- Experience with hazardous energy control programs
