Summary: The Boeing Company is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer (Associate/Experienced) to join the FishTools program within the Ground Mission Management Software (GMM) team. The role involves engineering new solutions and supporting existing capabilities for agile software applications tailored for the national intelligence community. Responsibilities: - Software development tasks including detailed software design, coding, and testing of customer desired features/user stories - Analyzing customer requirements and ensuring software implementations meet functional requirements - Briefing software designs and demonstrating software release functionality to peers - Develop and sustain new and existing applications; as well as troubleshoot and resolve various software issues - Contribute to the creation of new distributed components and interactions that align with the future system architecture. The existing multi-tiered system is developed on a cloud infrastructure with several consumer-facing web applications Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline - Active Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance with SCI eligibility (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) - Ability to obtain Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph after start date - 1+ years of experience designing and developing software for complex systems (i.e. Distributed Systems, Multi-Threaded and Multi-Process Applications) and a foundation in computer science and software development - 1+ years of experience in object-oriented programming - Experience with distributed version control systems such as GitHub, IBM Rational Team Concert, etc Preferred Qualifications: - Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience - Experience with one or more of the following: Java, HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, Firebug and JS frameworks (REACT, jQuery, jQuery UI, Open Layers, etc.), Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, MongoDB, XML, SOAP, REST, WSDL/Web Service protocols - Experience using dependency management (Ivy, Maven, Gradle) - Experience developing and maintaining SOAP, RMI, REST APIs and interfaces - Experience using cloud-based infrastructure (AWS) - Experience using automation server (Jenkins) - Experience/knowledge of the GEOINT domain - Familiarity with practices such as test-driven development (TDD), agile software development, continuous integration, and dependency management is preferred - Familiarity with Agile or SAFe practices, including daily standup, User Stories, Sprints, and Release Planning - Security Certification such as Security+ or CISSP Required Skills: Software Development, Object-Oriented Programming, Distributed Systems Important Skills: Java, Cloud Infrastructure, GitHub Nice-to-Have Skills: Agile Development, Test-Driven Development, Security Certification Benefits: Health insurance, Flexible spending accounts, Health savings accounts, Retirement savings plans, Life and disability insurance programs, Programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work
