Job Description
Summary: The Boeing Company is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Entry-Level and Associate Structural Analyst Engineer to join the F-22 Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Berkeley, Missouri. The role involves conducting stress analyses of aircraft assemblies’ primary structure and collaborating with other engineering disciplines to support modernization and sustainment efforts for the F-22 Raptor.
Responsibilities:
- Performs basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
- Supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- Supports modernization activities to maintain air dominance for decades to come
- Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
- Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements
- Works under general supervision
- Occasional travel required to support the USAF customer and the F-22 Air Vehicle
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- College coursework and/or work experience in Structural Analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of higher education and/or related work experience do you have? (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
- 1+ years' experience with finite element modeling structural analysis methods and tools
- 1+ years' experience working with structural sizing, and finite element models/simulations using NASTRAN/PATRAN, ABAQUS, Hypermesh, Optistruct, etc
- Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills
- Experience independently constructing, executing, reviewing, and managing structural finite element models
