Job Description
Summary: The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Entry Level Flight Simulation Software Engineer to join the Flight Simulation Labs team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization by assisting in the integration of innovative technologies and supporting the Flight Simulation products associated with their platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
- Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
- Supports development of simulation environments to supporting testing performed by Mission Systems engineers
- Works on an agile team in order to accomplish team goals
- Executes and documents software research and development projects
- Works under general direction
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start)
- Experience programming in C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada (or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience)
- Experience with Microsoft Windows
- Experience with MS Visual Studio, GIT and JIRA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- Knowledge of basic networking principles
- Experience working on an Agile team using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira
- Strong coordination and communication skills
