Analyst, Capital Markets at BlueWave in Boston (Hybrid)

Summary: BlueWave is an Independent Power Producer (IPP) focused on developing and operating solar and battery storage projects. They are seeking an experienced Analyst to join their Capital Markets team, responsible for building and interpreting financial models to support project financing and decision-making processes. Responsibilities: - Build, own, and operate project-level financial models across BlueWave’s solar and storage portfolio - Support project acquisition processes and assume lead responsibility for financial modelling of such opportunities - Produce analyses from those financial models to optimize returns, support decision making in the project development team, and support project financing activities - Support developers and the executive team in assessing offtake, financing, and structuring opportunities - Provide continuity of support through construction and into operations and transferring financial models to the Asset Management team Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree, preferably in the field of Finance, Economics, or Engineering - 1-2 years of renewable energy project finance experience, investment banking experience, or equivalent experience in infrastructure finance - Demonstrated deep financial modelling skillset - Advanced Excel skills - Demonstrated capability to understand and analyze complex financial problems and find innovative solutions - Highly numerate, with strong writing and communication skills, particularly in communicating financial concepts and analysis - Methodical and detail-oriented - Ability to collaborate and communicate with various teams across the business - Experience and familiarity with renewable energy financing structures, including tax equity - Acquisitions / Investment experience in the renewable energy industry Required Skills: Financial Modelling, Excel, Renewable Energy Project Finance, Investment Banking, Infrastructure Finance, Renewable Energy Financing Structures, Tax Equity, Acquisitions, Investment Analysis Benefits: Subsidized medical coverage, 100% company-paid dental and vision, HSA, FSA, Dependent Care FSA options, Commuting stipend for hybrid Massachusetts-based employees, Voluntary benefits such as supplemental life, critical illness, and accident insurance, 100% company-paid basic life/AD&D, Short-term disability, Long-term disability coverage, Cell phone reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), 401(k) plan with company match, Unlimited PTO, 15 paid holidays, Summer Fridays, Dedicated volunteer days
