The Strategic Finance Internship offers hands-on experience in financial analysis and strategic decision-making within the fine jewelry industry, allowing interns to partner with key business units and stakeholders. Responsibilities: - Partner with Strategic Finance and business stakeholders to scope and evaluate key financial and strategic questions - Perform financial and operational analysis using Excel-based models, including: - Revenue, margin, and contribution profitability analysis - Budget vs. forecast vs. actual variance analysis - Cost structure, fixed vs. variable expense, and efficiency analysis - Unit economics and return-on-investment assessments - Scenario and sensitivity analysis to support planning decisions - Support elements of monthly and quarterly performance analysis and forecasting, budgeting, and long-range plan processes - Help improve financial models and recurring reporting, while synthesizing analysis into concise slides and narratives for management to drive decision-making Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset - Proficient in Excel - Strong communication skills with the ability to translate unclear data into business insights - Self-starter with excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail - Must be able to work full-time on-site in New York City for the full 8-week internship period Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with Tableau or other data visualization tools Required Skills: Financial Analysis, Operational Analysis, Excel, Tableau, Data Visualization, Budgeting, Forecasting, Scenario Analysis, Sensitivity Analysis, Revenue Analysis, Margin Analysis, Profitability Analysis Benefits: Real-world experience solving impactful business challenges., Exposure to ecommerce, luxury retail, and supply chain dynamics., Mentorship from experts across Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Engineering., A portfolio-ready dashboard project used by leadership at Blue Nile and James Allen., An opportunity to influence strategy and innovation at a leading fine jewelry company.
