Job Description
Summary: R2Net is an innovative technology company that provides e-commerce and supply chain platforms for the diamond industry. The Process Improvement & Operations Intern will support the development of a process management system by mapping, analyzing, and documenting production workflows to enhance performance and standardization in manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop clear and standardized process flow diagrams and swim lane diagrams for key workflows to show handoffs, ownership, inputs, outputs and system/tools used
- Identify bottlenecks and constraints, define metrics to quantify performance, identify failure modes, and highlight waste
- Process Documentation
- Create structured Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aligned with mapped processes
- Standardize quality checks for inputs and outputs (what it means for input to be ready and for output to be done?)
- Support development of training modules from the process including training guides, checklists and sign-off sheets
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Data Analytics or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to break down complex processes into clear, structured steps
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills (ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) is a plus
