Summary: Blue Cross of Idaho is seeking a Compliance Intern to join their Compliance team for the Summer. This opportunity will allow the intern to develop communication skills and learn about the health insurance industry while performing risk assessments to support the business. Responsibilities: - Assist in oversight of contracted third parties that may have access to protected health information - Examine third party vendors on performance - Policy review and distribution - Perform key performance indicator analysis - Provide audit support and incident management support - Assist with regulatory analysis - Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned Preferred Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a college or university, preferably a junior or senior standing student - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) - College level writing capabilities - Detailed oriented Required Skills: Microsoft Office Important Skills: College level writing, Detail oriented
