Job Description
Summary: Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) is seeking a Summer Associate Intern in A.I. to join their team. The primary goal of this internship is to design, configure, and apply AI agents to support ITS project documentation activities, while providing hands-on experience in a real-world enterprise IT environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and configure AI agents (e.g., prompt-based or workflow-driven agents) that can assist with drafting, summarizing, and standardizing ITS project documentation
- Analyze existing ITS documents to identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities where AI agents can provide consistent, repeatable support
- Leverage available AI tools to automate or semi-automate documentation tasks such as requirements summaries, status reports, SOP drafts, and project templates
- Establish guardrails and quality checks to ensure AI agent outputs are accurate, aligned with source materials, and compliant with enterprise standards
- Provide the intern with hands-on experience building and applying AI agents in a real-world enterprise IT environment
- Ensure complete confidentiality of company business
- Keep management informed about developments within areas of responsibility and handle special projects as needed
- Create a final PowerPoint presentation to share with department leadership, summarizing the internship experience, the assigned project, results, and any recommendations for future use
- Adhere to HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies, and other relevant corporate and departmental policies
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree
- 1+ Year relevant degree level
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Self-starter with good time management skills
- Proactive and eager to learn
- Developing computer skills
- Availability to work ten weeks during the summer
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
