Skills
Job Description
Irvine, California | Full-time | In office, Monday to Friday
Base pay: $66,560–$74,880 a year. On-target earnings: $86,560–$94,880 a year. Stock options included.
Help win Bloomily's next customers and make sure they get off to a good start.
Bloomily builds software for preschools, childcare centers, camps and afterschool programs. Our tools help teams manage enrollment, attendance, billing and communication.
Join Bloomily's founding team as one of our earliest hires. You'll work directly with the founder, take ownership of sales and customer relationships, and help build our sales, onboarding and support processes as the business grows. We're a small, early-stage team, so you'll need to take initiative, work through uncertainty and turn ideas into action. This is a hands-on role: you'll find prospects, run demos, close sales, help customers get started and answer everyday questions.
What you'll do
Build your pipeline through calls, email, referrals and outreach, alongside following up with incoming leads.
Understand each customer's needs, show the relevant parts of Bloomily, handle questions and follow through to a decision.
Help new customers with onboarding and training, then check that they are getting value from the product.
Handle everyday support questions and coordinate technical help. The engineer handles technical imports, integrations and product fixes.
Keep the CRM up to date and improve the way we sell, onboard and support customers.
What working here is like
You'll have direct access to the founder and a real say in your work. Some processes are in place; others will be yours to help build. We agree on priorities, share feedback and work through obstacles together. You'll need to spot what needs attention, take a useful next step and ask for help when it matters.
This role suits someone who wants to own the customer relationship from first contact onward. You should enjoy selling and helping customers, even when priorities change or there isn't a detailed playbook. Expect to create opportunities yourself, not rely on a full calendar of incoming demos.
What you bring
Evidence that you've personally won customers, partnerships or similar commercial results.
Confidence starting conversations, asking questions, running demos and asking for a decision.
Clear communication, good listening and patient follow-through with customers.
The ability to organize your work and solve problems without waiting for detailed instructions.
Experience selling software to small businesses is useful. Relevant experience in customer success, education services, enrollment or program operations also counts if you can show commercial results. A particular degree or an existing customer list is not required.
Pay and benefits
Base pay is $66,560–$74,880 a year for a normal 40-hour workweek. This is a nonexempt position; applicable overtime is paid separately.
On-target earnings are $86,560–$94,880 a year, including base pay and commission at target. OTE is not guaranteed. First-year earnings depend on ramp-up and results. We'll share the targets and written commission plan before you accept an offer.
The package includes stock options, a monthly health stipend, paid sick leave, a retirement savings plan and company equipment.
Location and applying
You must be able to work at our Irvine office Monday to Friday by your agreed start date. This role is not remote or hybrid.
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Bloomily does not provide employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Apply with your resume and the short questions below. A few sentences for each written answer are enough. No cover letter is needed.
The process includes a short phone screening, a conversation with Andrea, and a sales case study and interview with Tim and Evy over Zoom. We'll share the case study and preparation details in advance. We may arrange a further conversation if needed.
