Job Description
Summary: Bloom Energy is pioneering solutions for a clean energy future, focusing on innovative technologies in the energy sector. They are seeking a Controls Engineering Intern to support the development of embedded control software and engineering tools, working closely with senior engineers to enhance code structure and automation within their control systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement modular software components for embedded control systems
- Contribute to the design and development of a Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) simulation framework
- Support development of internal tools and automation used by the Controls Engineering team
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and technical documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Currently a student earning a PhD or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or a related discipline
- Must be graduating between spring 2026 and summer 2027
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD preferred
- Programming experience in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB
- Basic understanding of control systems and/or embedded systems
- Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools
