Job Description
Summary: Blank Street is on a mission to become the defining food and beverage brand of our generation, with a focus on a matcha forward menu and high-quality hospitality. As a Barista, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and delivering exceptional customer service while being part of the founding team in LA.
Responsibilities:
- Delight our customers with consistent, welcoming and engaging hospitality, taking the opportunity to turn every customer into a regular
- Be an integral part of our world class team using the best equipment, coffee, and matcha in the industry
- Maintain a clean and organized environment upholding both Local Department of Health and Blank Street standards at all times
- Partner with our Operations and Marketing teams for events and promotions to expand our brand to new customers
- Continue to train and evolve with the company, driving ever higher standards and improving process along the way
- Set your team up for success by mastering different company procedures such as cash handling, inventory, waste tracking, and opening and closing processes
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years' experience in a customer service position, preferably in hospitality, retail, or coffee
- 18+ years of age
- Able to lift 25+ lbs, and to stand for long periods of time
- Availability that meets the needs of our cafes
- Part Time: 15-25 hours per week, 3 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- You must be authorized to work in the U.S.: upon acceptance of a job offer and completion of the Form I-9 with acceptable documents, Blank Street will provide the federal government with employees' Form I-9 information to confirm authorization to work in the U.S. (a process known as 'E-Verify')
