They are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Intern to assist with manual and automated testing of their web-based applications while gaining exposure to innovative technologies. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the engineering team to perform system-level integration test of BlackSky’s platform applications - Assist in creating and executing test plans, incorporating a combination of manual and automated testing - Work closely with developers to understand software design and functionality purposes - Contribute to the development improvement of automated test frameworks and scripts using Python - Debug and troubleshoot software issues and participate in code reviews - Contribute to technical documentation and team discussions on best practices - Other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - Rising junior, senior or grad student studying Computer Science, Software Development or other relevant degree - Prior experience using Python - Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team Preferred Qualifications: - Understanding of RESTful APIs, cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP), and basic knowledge of data structures and algorithms - Familiarity with software development and testing methods (e.g., agile, CI/CD) - Previous internship or project experience in software development or testing - Exposure to geospatial data, GIS systems, or satellite imagery processing Required Skills: Python, Test Planning, Automated Testing, Manual Testing, Software Debugging, Code Review, Eagerness to Learn
