Job Description
Summary: Bio-Techne is a company focused on enabling cutting-edge research in Life Sciences and Clinical Diagnostics. The SDS Intern role involves working in the Quality Assurance department, calculating w/w% for the ACD product line, and creating SDS documents, primarily using Excel spreadsheets.
Responsibilities:
- Use the ERP system to obtain multi-level BOMs
- Filter, sort, and format large amounts of data in Excel
- Create vlookups in Excel
- Calculating w/w% calculations for reagents
- Updating product label templates with any new hazard symbols
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in a field relevant to the internship in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Math, Engineering, or Computer Science
- Must have completed (at minimum) the sophomore year of college
- Must be able to work full-time during the duration of the internship program
- Must understand how to formulate chemical solutions and perform percent calculations
- Understand unit conversions such as kg to grams and grams to ml
- Must have strong experience with using Excel for calculations and filtering data
- Must be able to read and interpret multi-level BOMs
- Strong technical writing, technical reading, and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- some understanding of medical device or pharmaceutical regulations and standards
