Job Description
Summary: BGB Group is a healthcare communications agency that provides various services to biopharmaceutical clients. The Associate Consultant will support client engagements through research and analysis while also contributing to business development efforts, including proposal preparation and operationalizing growth systems.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the research and fact-gathering process across engagements
- Analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings using appropriate analytical frameworks
- Distill actionable and compelling insights from complex information
- Develop creative, clear, and impactful client-ready presentations
- Effectively communicate conclusions directly to clients
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Have direct access to clients and senior-level leadership
- Be supported by an unparalleled group of peers and leaders throughout each engagement
- Preparing detailed client profiles ahead of business development meetings
- Developing company and asset backgrounders, including competitive landscape, recent activity, strategic priorities, and potential opportunity areas
- Synthesizing insights to inform meeting strategy and positioning
- Leading structured debriefs following new business meetings
- Translating meeting insights into clear next steps
- Project managing follow-ups across internal stakeholders
- Tracking deliverables, timelines, and ownership to ensure momentum
- Drafting customized client proposals aligned to identified needs
- Building scopes of work, timelines, workplans, and pricing structures
- Supporting the development of strategic narratives within proposals
- Building and maintaining a system for tracking new business opportunities, pipeline stages, and revenue forecasting
- Creating processes and documentation to standardize new business workflows
- Developing standardized proposal templates for key consulting offerings and recurring revenue products
- Continuously refining growth materials to improve efficiency, clarity, and win rate
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success in analyzing and synthesizing information to draw accurate, logical, and actionable conclusions
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word
- 0–2 years of relevant internship or project-based experience in strategy consulting, business development, or related fields
- High level of academic achievement at a four-year college or university
- Ability to work effectively in teams
- Excellent communication skills
- Confidence, ownership, and a 'can-do' attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience contributing to proposals, client-facing materials, or business development efforts
- Foreign language skills
