Job Description
Betten Honda is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles while delivering exceptional service. This position requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and identify potential issues.
- Communicate findings and repair recommendations to service advisors.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and dealership procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety standards.
- Keep detailed records of all work performed and parts used.
- Participate in training programs and stay updated on new technologies and repair procedures.
- Assist in maintaining shop equipment and tools in good working condition.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training a plus.
- ASE Certification(s) preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an automotive technician (dealership experience preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must be a team player and customer-focused.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, or squatting.
- Manual dexterity to operate hand tools and repair equipment.
