We are currently hiring for junior Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET) in our technology team. As a SDET you will collaborate closely with a variety of cross-functional teams to continually advocate for the integrity of our QA process for all major deployments.

We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you’ll do:

• Transform traditionally manual tests into scalable automation scripts.
• Design, document, build and execute functional and regression automated tests.
• Actively participate in Grooming/Sprint Planning sessions and work with product and development teams to define the priorities of tasks.
• Configuring and maintaining test automation frameworks on multiple systems.
• Working with deployment teams, resolving issues, coordinating on product design, and offering inputs on testability of functional elements and product design.
• Participate in reviews and discussions of specifications such as user stories and designs and provide feedback concerning completeness, accuracy, and testability.
• Log Bugs in JIRA with accurate details and steps to help development pinpoint trouble areas.

What we’re looking for:

• 6 months-2 years of test automation experience using Java, Groovy or JavaScript.
• 6 months-2 years years of experience planning, designing, developing, and executing tests.
• 6 months-2 years years of experience with TestNG, Spock Framework and Selenium/Playwright.
• Strong understanding of data structures and data manipulation.
• Working knowledge of Git/GitHub, Jenkins, and JIRA.
• Knowledge of common QA and SW development processes and methodologies – especially with working in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL). 
• Ability to use AI prompts to accelerate automation. 
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and containerization (Kubernetes, OpenShift).

$69,000.00 - $74,000.00
