Summary: Berkeley Industrial Engineering & Operations Research is a NYC startup building next generation tech. They are looking for a Technician/Assembler to work with the CTO's team in all stages of design, implementation, testing, and rollout of their flagship platform ENFORCER. Responsibilities: - Build mechanical or electronic assemblies from process documents - Assemble, test, and troubleshoot PCBA & electrical subsystems - Research, source and acquire OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) components - Interact with fabricators and suppliers of electrical parts to ensure quality and accuracy - Resolve technical issues and track in project management tools - Aid in resolving technical issues and track issue progress with project management tools - Help create and update existing process and inventory documents - Be comfortable and humble enough to wear many hats - And most importantly: Have a 'can do' startup mindset Required Qualifications: - Associates or Bachelor's degree in CE, EE, or related technical field - Comfortable with the basic operation of electronic test equipment, including the usage of digital multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, Soldering station, etc - Ability to read mechanical drawings and electronic schematics - Good manual dexterity and general knowledge on the safe use of hand tools - Experience with mechanical integration of PCBs with custom enclosures - Strong communication and organizational skills - Basic understanding of Linux or the ability to be taught Preferred Qualifications: - Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred, or send us your project portfolio and show off what you can do Required Skills: Electronic test equipment operation, Digital multi-meter usage, Oscilloscope usage, Soldering, Reading mechanical drawings, Reading electronic schematics, Mechanical integration of PCBs with custom enclosures, Hand tool safety and usage, Linux basics Benefits: Benefits, Save the world, Located in NYC / Brooklyn, Stay away from cubicles and big boring corporations, Work on cool projects including both hardware and software, Wear your pajama to work
