Sales Consultant

Uncapped Commission + Monthly Store Bonus

Ready to make a difference to people’s sleep — and your own earning potential?

As a Sales Consultant at bensons for beds, you’ll be at the heart of our store, helping customers find the right products for a better night’s sleep. From mattresses and beds to all the finishing touches, you’ll use your natural ability to listen, understand what customers need and recommend the right products for them.

And when you make great sales, there’s no limit to what you can earn. Alongside your base salary and OTE, you’ll have access to our uncapped commission scheme, plus the opportunity to earn a monthly store bonus when your store hits its target.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll spend your days getting to know customers, understanding what they’re looking for and using your product knowledge to help them make the right choice.

You’ll:

• Welcome customers into the store and create a great first impression
• Ask the right questions to understand their needs and recommend the right sleep products
• Use our unique sleepPRO™ technology and your product knowledge to find their perfect match
• Build genuine relationships with customers and deliver an experience they’ll remember
• Spot opportunities to maximise every sale and achieve your targets
• Keep up to date with our products, offers and promotions
• Work as part of your store team to achieve shared goals
• Take pride in your store and help keep it clean, tidy and looking its best

Don’t know everything about beds? Don’t worry. We’ll give you the training, product knowledge and support you need to feel confident and hit the ground running.

What we’re dreaming of seeing

We’re looking for people who love working with people and love a bit of healthy competition.

You’ll be naturally confident, approachable and curious about what makes your customers tick. You’ll be comfortable having conversations, spotting opportunities and asking for the sale — while always making sure the customer gets the right solution for them.

Ideally, you’ll have experience in a customer-facing or sales environment, but we’re much more interested in your attitude than your CV.

You’ll be:

• Customer-focused and genuinely interested in helping people
• Confident communicating with all kinds of customers
• Target-driven and motivated by earning commission
• Resilient, positive and willing to give things a go
• A team player who’s happy to get stuck in
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment

Your weekends matter — but so does your life outside work

Our busiest times are when our customers are free to shop, so evenings, weekends and bank holidays are key trading periods. You’ll need to be flexible and available to work these hours.

But we know there’s more to life than beds! When you work weekends, we’ll make sure you get your days back during the week, and there may also be opportunities to pick up overtime.

The best sleep is when we feel comfortable…

And that’s exactly how we want you to feel at bensons for beds.

Whether you’re a memory foam fan, a sprung mattress person or you just want somewhere comfy to put your head at the end of the day, we want you to bring your authentic self to work.

We welcome applications from everyone and are committed to creating a workplace where people feel respected, included and comfortable being themselves.

The cool side of the pillow — our benefits

We know you’ll work hard to help your store succeed, so we want to give something back.

As well as your base salary, OTE and uncapped commission, you’ll also have the opportunity to earn a monthly store bonus when your store achieves its target.
