Job Description
Summary: Belong Health partners with regional payers to deliver Medicare Advantage and Special Needs Plan products. The Intern, Strategic Growth is responsible for supporting the business development efforts of the Growth team, including prospecting and qualifying partnership opportunities with payer and provider organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and prospecting to identify potential partnership opportunities with payer and provider organizations, focusing on local and regional health plans and health systems
- Help qualify and prioritize potential leads based on fit with Belong Health's solutions and target market criteria
- Support the Vice President, Sales in managing the sales cycle, research, including outreach, stakeholder alignment, partnership terms negotiation, and agreement finalization
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Belong Health's solutions, including the technology and services offered, to effectively communicate value propositions to potential partners
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as Analytics and Product, to gather relevant data and insights to support business development efforts
- Assist in the creation of sales collateral, presentations, spreadsheets, and other marketing materials to support the Strategic Partnerships team
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in solution-based selling or consulting within payer or provider organizations
- Strong research, analytical, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across various functional areas
- Bachelor's degree required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in consulting, account management, business development, strategy, or partnership roles, preferably within the healthcare industry
- Knowledge of healthcare industry trends, particularly related to value-based care, Medicare Advantage and Dual Special Needs Plans, CMS/CMMI programs, Accountable Care Organizations
- Advanced degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred
- Training or certification in sales, business development, or healthcare-related disciplines is a plus
