Job Description:
Position will work with the Bell County-hired expert to survey all polling locations to ensure compliance with the 2010 ADA Standards.
Once trained, will provide remediation instructions to Election staff by location to ensure continued compliance with such standards.
If necessary, provide direct and immediate communication with the Bell County Elections Administrator if any conditions at any site should not meet the 2010 ADA Standards, the cost to remediate exceeds a specified amount determined by the Bell County Elections Administrator to ensure Bell County's compliance with such standards.
On election day, the EDS will visit each polling site with the developed checklist to ensure sites are compliant with the 2010 ADA Standards as identified by each site, to include temporary remediation items. Documentation of all visits shall be provided to the Election Administrator and/or his/her designee for submission to the Bell County hired expert.
Necessary skills include reading, writing, computer use, MS Word, MS Excel, communication, detail-oriented, and following instructions.
Special Certifications and Licenses:
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
