Job Description
Summary: Belkin is a company focused on creating unique consumer experiences, and they are seeking a Global Supply Chain Intern to support new projects during the RFQ/RFI, development, and launch phases of their products. This internship offers hands-on exposure to supplier engagement, cost analysis, and collaboration within a global supply chain environment, while developing essential skills.
Responsibilities:
- Support engineering and product marketing teams during the product definition phase by assisting with basic cost analysis and feasibility assessments, developing analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Assist with supplier sourcing activities, including preparing RFI/RFQ materials, organizing supplier responses, and analyzing costed BOM, summarizing suppliers cost and capability comparison with strong attention to detail
- Support cost analysis and supplier evaluations by building and maintaining spreadsheets, learning cost modeling fundamentals, and ensuring accuracy in data and documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal partners to collect information related to tooling capacity, assembly capacity, and manufacturing readiness, strengthening communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
- Help track potential risks, long‑lead components, and early purchase requirements under the guidance of senior team members, developing judgment and decision‑support skills
- Support coordination with Global Product Management and NPI teams to assist with product launch preparation and transition to ongoing supply and demand support
- Participate in team meetings and cross‑functional discussions, demonstrating initiative, learning agility, and teamwork while gaining exposure to global supply chain operations
- Manage assigned tasks and projects with guidance, prioritizing workload effectively and meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Perform all other duties as assigned and required
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship, academic projects, or coursework related to supply chain, electronics, manufacturing, or sourcing is a plus, but not required
- Interest in manufacturing environments and consumer electronics preferred
