Job Description
Summary: Behavioral Health Services North (BHSN) is one of the fastest growing organizations providing whole person care in the region. The Accounts Receivable and Credentialing Specialist will assist the accounting department by managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial functions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Revenue Cycle Department by coordinating initial applications and renewal credential applications for licensed providers with; Medicaid, Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care Companies, Commercial Insurance, and CAQH applications
- Credentialing new sites with various payors: including adding new sites to existing contracts
- Ensure all providers, in coordination with providers, are properly registered with all payors to provide services
- Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable/credentialing process by identifying areas for performance improvement
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared; as Directed by the Director of Revenue Cycle
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Highly Detail Oriented and ability to manage time appropriately
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office and the ability to independently build spreadsheets for tracking purposes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
