Nurse Supervisor-ACCS

We are currently seeking a Nurse Supervisor to oversee the medical components of care within our Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) program, providing leadership to nursing and CNA staff at our Massasoit Road program.

What You Will Do:
- Direct, oversee, and evaluate the work assignments of all ACCS CNA staff
- Coordinate and oversee the completion of nursing assessments and care plans for individuals residing at the program
- Provide training and regular teaching to staff
- Attend pre-discharge meetings at acute hospitals, respite units, state hospitals, and other outside settings
- Review referral packets to determine appropriateness of referrals and engage with DMH and other care entities to create transition plans
- Work with the program RN to develop care plans addressing acute needs related to new admissions or transitions
- Supervise assigned staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training
- Make recommendations on hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, and terminations
- Resolve grievances and other personnel matters within position responsibilities
- Coordinate task assignments and help resolve technical and operational problems
- Provide effective direction, guidance, and leadership to foster teamwork, motivation, and integration with system-wide initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies such as the Joint Commission and the Department of Public Health, developing procedures to meet regulatory requirements
- Ensure the program complies with organizational policies, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures
- Ensure adequate equipment and supplies for the program
Who You Are:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Current and maintained Registered Nurse license required
- Minimum of three years of experience managing adults with co-occurring medical and mental health complexities
- 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of CNA skills
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to communicate directions to staff clearly and appropriately
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office, internet, and email systems
