Job Description
Summary: Beech Acres Parenting Center is a contemporary parenting center that has been serving the community for 175 years. They are seeking an Intern for their Information Technology department to provide first-line technical support, troubleshoot issues, and assist with IT operations while gaining hands-on experience in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance via phone, chat, email, or ticketing system
- Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues involving Windows systems, and common productivity software
- Assist with account setup, password resets, MFA troubleshooting, VPN troubleshooting and user onboarding tasks
- Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, peripherals, and approved applications
- Document issues, resolutions, and escalation steps in the IT ticketing system
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to Level 2 support as needed
- Assist with inventory management of IT equipment and accessories
- Support routine IT initiatives such as patching, asset refresh projects, and user training
- Maintain professionalism and deliver excellent customer service to all users
- Follow all IT policies, procedures, and security guidelines
- May include light travel to Cincinnati area sites to support staff as needed
- Organize and document IT equipment designated for recycling
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled or recently completed an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Experience with Microsoft Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Backup Software
- Basic understanding of common office software (Microsoft 365, email clients, web browsers)
- Understanding of cybersecurity basics (phishing, password hygiene, MFA)
- Exposure to ticketing systems from school or volunteer work
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within a Healthcare environment is a plus
