The Opportunity
As an experienced professional, you’ll be shaping technical direction and assuring delivery quality across complex, high-profile building services projects including client relationship management, mentoring and coaching others.

We are currently recruiting for Technical Director – Mechanical to join our Building Services team with broad experience in healthcare, commercial and mixed-development projects. This position will be based in our Singapore Office and reporting to General Manager, Built Form – Singapore.

About You
You’ll be a qualified Professional Engineer (P. Eng - Mechanical) with Professional Engineer Board, Singapore with your mechanical engineering experience coming from a consulting environment. With broad experience in healthcare, commercial and mixed-development projects, you will have a strong technical knowledge of mechanical practices and principles. Working amongst a group of highly motivated professionals, you will step into an open and supportive culture that values the skills that you can contribute to the group. Along with proven and adapt stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse interests, you will be an experienced consultant and problem solver with highly developed analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify risks and deliver innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible to:
Deliver operational excellence by managing large, complex projects or multiple concurrent engagements
Provide technical leadership and design authority across mechanical building services projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, codes, and best practices
Lead the resolution of complex technical, design, and constructability challenges across the project lifecycle
Lead project delivery across the full range of the construction project lifecycle stages, working strategically with clients
To devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems through applications of technical principles in order to gain respect from clients as a highly skilled consultant
Understand the client’s business and strategic issues in order to ensure successful outcomes
Understand risk on all jobs through implementation of sound audit, business and financial management and understand impact of work practices on the financial outcome of projects
Demonstrate effective communication, presentation, networking and consulting skills
Key Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 15–18 years of relevant experience within the built environment, with a strong consulting background
Registered Professional Engineer (Mechanical) with the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore
Proven capability in:
Technical leadership, design governance, and project delivery
Managing multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments
Client engagement, relationship management and commercial decision-making
Extensive experience delivering large-scale projects across sectors
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated leadership presence and ability to influence at senior levels
A collaborative, client-focused approach with strong professional integrity
