Job Description
Summary: BDO Canada is a firm focused on positive relationships with clients and employees, seeking a Co-op Student or Intern for their Assurance or Financial Reporting & Insights team starting May 2027. The role provides a comprehensive learning experience in accounting, involving financial reporting, analysis, compliance, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently utilize technical knowledge from courses to carry out work projects and assignments
- Prepare and complete working papers, financial information, and compilation engagements per regulatory standards
- Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements
- Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to requests and suggestions
- Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis
Required Qualifications:
- You are currently working towards a degree focused in accounting with a long-term goal of becoming a CPA
- You have a desire to provide outstanding client service and a commitment to teamwork
- You have proven leadership skills and can take initiative to seek understanding
- You display strong attention to detail, problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
