The intern will support a number of engineers and technicians on the Machine Design and Automation Team by building and programming equipment for manufacturing environments. Responsibilities: - Assist in conducting experiments and collecting data - Provide general administrative support such as scheduling meetings, maintaining files, and communicating via e-mail and telephone - Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams - Solve technical issues related to laboratory equipment and processes - Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions Required Qualifications: - Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship - Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field - Minimum GPA of 3.0 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Available to work onsite, full time (40 hours per week) during summer break - Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar CAD software Preferred Qualifications: - PLC Programming Experience Required Skills: SolidWorks, PLC Programming Important Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
