Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our Health Care team. This entry-level position, offering a competitive salary, is designed for a professional with 0-1 year of experience who is eager to contribute to patient eye health. The role involves conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing vision conditions, and providing essential patient education to ensure optimal visual outcomes and overall well-being.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed eye assessments utilizing advanced diagnostic tools including autorefractometers, slit lamps, and applanation tonometers.
- Conduct refraction procedures and retinoscopy to determine precise corrective lens prescriptions.
- Operate specialized imaging equipment such as fundus cameras and A-scans to evaluate ocular health.
- Execute keratometry and HVF (Visual Field) tests to assess corneal curvature and peripheral vision capabilities.
- Administer RT tests and other vision screening protocols to detect potential visual impairments.
- Deliver clear and empathetic counseling to patients regarding their vision status, treatment options, and eye care maintenance.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all examination findings and patient interactions.
Requirements
- Proficiency in operating key ophthalmic instruments including the autorefractometer, slit lamp, applanation tonometer, fundus camera, A-scan, and keratometer.
- Strong clinical skills in refraction, retinoscopy, and RT testing.
- Ability to perform thorough slit lamp examinations and interpret HVF results.
- Excellent communication and counseling abilities to effectively interact with patients.
- Foundational experience or training in vision care, suitable for candidates with 0-1 year of work experience.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and care within the Health Care industry.
