Summary: Baxter International Inc. is a healthcare company focused on redefining healthcare delivery and saving and sustaining lives. The Quality Technician will perform product testing, sampling, audits, protocol support, and documentation activities within an automated manufacturing facility while adhering to quality, safety, and procedural requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform tests and document test results
- Perform product sampling
- Conduct functional testing of products
- Align with all specifications, procedures, and forms that pertain to the above area
- Perform department audits as required
- Assist with running protocols
- Review specification and SOP changes
- Write SOPs for the area of responsibility
- Adhere to plant environmental health and safety regulations
- Carry out any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervision/management
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a related field or 0-3 years of related experience
- Successful completion of the Career Readiness Certificate
- Capability to lift, push, and pull weights up to 25 pounds; capacity to lift items above shoulder height up to 20 pounds
- Ability to reach above shoulder to perform work, climb ladders, bend/stoop, and stand for long periods of time
- Capacity to work additional hours when necessary
- Ability to perform effectively with minimal oversight
- Willingness to cross-train within the area
- Adaptability to changing requirements
- Accountability for actions taken
- Attention to detail
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate with different organizational levels
- Mathematical competence
- Knowledge of measurement methods
- Proficiency in using weight scales
- Competence in accurate sampling techniques (i.e., visual inspections, dimensional, etc.)
- Ability to perform SPC techniques
- Familiarity with computer systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with controlled documentation and specifications is a plus
