Job Description

They are offering a summer internship program focused on Manufacturing Engineering, where interns will gain hands-on experience in operational excellence and process improvement within the manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing engineering initiatives focused on operational excellence and process improvement
- Identify, analyze, and help eliminate waste in manufacturing processes (Lean principles)
- Assist with data analysis related to manufacturing performance metrics and trends
- Participate in process observations and root cause problem-solving efforts
- Support documentation updates related to manufacturing processes and engineering standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable improvements
- Communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to Manufacturing Engineering leadership
- Work under the direction and guidance of Baxter Manufacturing Engineering professionals
Required Qualifications:
- Strong academic performance and leadership potential
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Strong interest in manufacturing, engineering, and operational excellence
- Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in: Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering or technical discipline
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and organizational skills
- Positive attitude; team-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active involvement in campus or community organizations
- Leadership experience preferred
