Founder Associate Physical AI & Robotics (m/f/d)… at Batch… · München

Batch Robotics is revolutionizing how robots operate in factories — not through rigid programming or teaching by human demonstration, but with smart perception and AI intelligence. We are a team of 8 motivated people with 50 years of experience in industry and robotics. Our mission is to make robots smarter and more flexible, enabling batch-size-1 automation for surface treatment economically. Our technology helps factories in Europe to remain competitive with intelligent robotics.

• Mission-Driven Impact: We choose to tackle the hard, unglamorous problem of physical-world automation because the preservation of industrial resilience across Europe depends on it.
• High Agency & Speed: We move too fast for corporate politics, showmasters, or heavy meeting cultures. If something is broken, you have the full mandate to fix it.
• Radical Candor: We maintain a lean, transparent environment where open feedback is shared early, failure is processed quickly, and technical truth always wins.

We are now looking for a Founder Associate (m/f/d) with relentless ambition, massive grit, and an entrepreneurial mindset to work directly alongside the founders. This is a high-ownership, high-agency generalist role designed as a definitive launchpad for future founders. You will get a front-row seat to building a venture-backed hard-tech company from the ground up.

Tasks

• Go-To-Market & Growth: Design, execute, and scale outbound experiments, validate customer discovery loops, and help sharpen our commercial positioning.
• Fundraising & Strategy: Partner directly with the founders on fundraising preparation, investor pipelines, market research, and financial modeling.
• Operations & Scale: Help transition early commercial momentum into repeatable internal operations, managing special logistics, procurement, and setup projects.
• Talent Acquisition: Work closely with the team to identify, source, and interview early core team members as we scale our engineering and commercial pipelines.
• Zero-to-One Execution: Step into any critical business gap—whether structural, operational, or commercial—and build solutions from scratch

Requirements

• Mindset over Manuals: You exhibit extreme agency, an urgent work ethic, and immense grit. You don't wait for a playbook; you enjoy writing it in real-time.
• High-Octane Trajectory: First-rate degree from a top-tier university or ecosystem with prior experience in fast-paced setups like venture capital, consulting, or early-stage startups.
• Technical & Digital Intuition: Deeply curious about AI developments, software/agentic tools, and engineering realities; comfortable working alongside top-tier ML engineers.
• Comfort with Ambiguity: You thrive on uncertainty and view unstructured problems as an exciting puzzle rather than a bottleneck.
• Bilingual Communicator: Exceptional, confident communication skills in both German and English to seamlessly navigate conversations with European mid-sized manufacturers and global investors.

Benefits

• Impact: The unique opportunity to rethink industrial automation for batch-size-1 with cutting-edge AI to maintain European manufacturing sovereignty.
• Growth: Challenging tasks and impactful projects alongside experts in a high-growth VC-funded startup.
• Ownership: Direct opportunity to actively shape the company's technical direction and hardware strategy.
• Environment: A modern, central workspace in Munich with a collaborative, international culture.
