WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Join our international Financial Reporting Team as a Financial Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for general ledger activities and serve as the liaison between various departments and our corporate headquarters. You will work closely with our Group companies to ensure that all accounting processes run smoothly. In doing so, you will have the opportunity to continuously apply and expand your expertise in financial reporting.
- In this role, you will process business transactions in the general ledger as well as in fixed asset and lease accounting, and perform reconciliations with the subsidiary ledgers.
- In addition, you will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and the German Commercial Code (HGB) for German BASF Group companies.
- You will assist with income tax calculations and contribute to Group reporting.
- Furthermore, you will serve as the central point of contact for accounting matters for our subsidiaries, other finance departments, BASF’s central finance units, and external auditors.
- Furthermore, you will actively participate in projects and coordinate the technical and procedural development of our organization in collaboration with our partners, and work with us to
- shape the transition to the new SAP version, S/4HANA.
- Together with your colleagues, you will actively contribute to our strong team spirit and the continued development of the organization.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or vocational training with a focus on accounting, or an equivalent degree
- proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and ideally experience with SAP R/3 or S/4HANA
- very good German and good English skills
- high motivation to achieve success as part of a team
- your work style is characterized by independence and analytical thinking
- enthusiasm for the automation and digitization of processes
WHAT WE OFFER
- Gross annual salary (full-time): 40.000 - 46.000 €, depending on qualification and work experience, 48.000 - 52.000 € possible with correspondingly higher qualifications - In addition, you can expect a bonus dependent on the company's success
