Job Description
Degrees:
- High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
Additional Qualifications:
- For existing staff, a minimum of six months as a Patient Financial Representative I and meets BH registration accuracy and productivity standards for at least the most recent 3 months.
- For external candidates, adequate/equivalent experience (healthcare, insurance, etc.
- ).
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced work environment.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Desired: Knowledge of Health Care regulatory guidelines to include but not limited to HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.
- Knowledge of insurance contracts, collections, authorizations, and pre-certification.
- Ability to work weekends when necessary.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
