Job Description
Summary: Bank of America is seeking an analyst/associate for their Software Equity Research team. The role involves writing reports, building financial models, and facilitating communication with clients and covered companies while monitoring market trends and stock valuations.
Responsibilities:
- Write industry and company reports and company stock coverage initiations
- Build financial models including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements to provide a quantitative basis for analyzing stock valuations
- Demonstrate industry knowledge
- Build relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companies
- Seek out new, value-added and/or unusual sources of information
- Have ability to monitor news flow, analyze data and highlight stock-impacting updates when Senior Analyst is traveling
- Develop surveys and conduct interviews to understand new product/service potential, market dynamics, and current and future product/service demand
- Interact regularly with sales, trading and external clients
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience
- Strong writing and financial modeling skills
- Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in equity research, buy side experience, investment banking or industry/consulting experience
- Experience in sell-side research or similar is preferred but not a requirement
- Advanced degree or industry experience is a plus but not required
