Job Description
The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers’ missions. What You’ll Do:
- Design, fabricate, assemble, troubleshoot, and repair complex electromechanical systems integrating RF, digital control, and mechanical interfaces.
- Use SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other CAD tools to generate and revise 3D models and 2D production drawings.
- Program and operate manual and CNC machines using Mastercam for fabrication of precision components.
- Perform high-reliability soldering for PCB and harness assemblies, including surface-mount and through-hole components.
- Support the assembly and integration of prototype systems, including enclosures, test fixtures, and mechanical structures.
- Interpret, revise, and redline technical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers and staff to iterate on designs, improve manufacturability, and resolve technical issues.
- Document fabrication processes, design changes, and test data with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Contribute to RF design improvements based on feedback from system testing and prototype evaluations.
- Safety glasses will always be required while in the machine shop. Other PPE will be highly recommended or required depending on the task at hand.
- Must be able to stand for long periods, lift materials up to 50 lbs, and handle repetitive tasks while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
