BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience. In this role, you will administer servers and perform cybersecurity functions to support a research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) environment. You will build, configure, test, diagnose, repair server operating systems and applications, and automate tasks using scripts. To test connectivity and diagnose issues, you will also need to be proficient with Cisco operating systems. This is a dynamic environment in which configurations frequently change to support the RDT&E mission. Your goal will be to ensure servers and associated networks are fully functional and configured to approved specifications for test and training events. Work is performed at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, VA. SCSC is located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and provides AEGIS and Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) combat systems for engineering, testing, training, and certification.
