Your role focuses on ensuring the NCM process is executed consistently, efficiently, and in full compliance with company and regulatory procedures. You will act as a critical link between production, quality, and management to reduce bottlenecks, identify root causes of material failure, and optimize the workflow of rejected materials within the Anniston facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Oversight & Validation:
- Monitor the end-to-end non-conforming material workflow to ensure all steps are followed according to established protocols.
- Validate that the process remains smooth and consistent across different shifts and product lines.
- Provide hands-on assistance and guidance to team members during the NCM process as needed to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Analysis & Continuous Improvement:
- Conduct detailed analysis of the NCM process to identify systemic barriers, bottlenecks, and causes of delay.
- Evaluate data on rejected materials to identify common trends, recurring defects, and primary causes of non-conformance.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline the flow of material from identification to final disposition.
Documentation & Procedural Support:
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to reflect current best practices and efficiency gains.
- Ensure all NCM documentation is audit-ready and compliant with internal and external quality standards.
Cross Functional Coordination:
- Collaborate closely with site and management to report on the status of rejected materials and the health of the NCM process.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Procurement, and Production) to ensure timely disposition of materials.
