Job Description
Summary: BAE Systems develops advanced electronics and defense technologies for aerospace, defense, and security applications. The Systems Engineering Intern II will support the ES Defense Systems Engineering team by designing, developing, and testing solutions, using systems engineering tools, assisting with integration testing and analysis, troubleshooting software, preparing documentation, and collaborating with hardware and software teams.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing and testing solutions utilizing Agile methodologies and sound systems engineering principles while conforming to existing development strategies and processes
- Utilizing established systems engineering tools and assisting in other engineering activities such as integration testing, algorithm & data analysis, software troubleshooting, and preparing documentation in accordance with established procedures
- Working with other engineering disciplines such as hardware and software teams
Required Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program for EE (Electrical Engineering), ECS (Electrical and Computer Science), ME (Mechanical Engineering), SW (Software Engineering) or a related field, and will complete your sophomore year prior to Summer 2027
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Must be eligible for a US DoD security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Security clearance (secret or higher)
- GPA of 3.0 or higher highly preferred
